Which helmet(s) do you wear ? Roland, Bell wedge, ZG Skate M5. 2. What protection do you use ? Bates NJK. 3. What safety precautions do you take when riding on open roads ? Always inspect a road first, then rip. 4. Have you been into any serious accidents ? If so, did protection help you there ? To many to list, protection first is best policy. 5. What’s the best (safety) advice someone gave you ? Think, use your head. 6. Have you ever refused to ride an event, because safety measures weren’t taken (enough) and if so why ? Yes, no barriers, people on road, no secure runs. 7. What changes would you like to see/propose in terms of safety regulations (during events) ? Crowd control, it was the sports demise of the sport, I will happen again. 8. What do you think of the current helmet policies from IGSA/IDF ? Not up to speed on this one. 9. What do you think of introducing a motorcycle helmet policy on IGSA/IDF events ? I think it was snell only. 10. Is there something you would like to say about safety which hasn’t been addressed in the previous questions ? Rider progression, everyone thinks they are pro, going fast is easy, learn how to race, instead of changing rules to accommodate attendance.
